The organizers will be pleased to send a letter of invitation to any pre-registered and paid participant requesting one. It is to be understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the meeting to provide any financial support.
VISA to Sri Lanka
Obtaining a travel Visa is the responsibility of the participants. We will assist you by providing an invitation letter for registered participants but we are not an authority on Visa issues. Normally you must be registered participant to be considered for business Visa. Therefore please register early and prepare for visa.
About Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
What is an ETA? ETA is an official authorization for a Short Visit to Sri Lanka and is issued electronically. The ETA is introduced with the intention of providing an efficient, reliable and simplified service to those who visit Sri Lanka. ETA holders will be issued a 30 day Short Visit visa at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
The ETA is issued through an on-line system. No passport copies, documents or photographs are required. There is no requirement to endorse the ETA on the passport.
On arrival at the port of entry in Sri Lanka
Upon arrival, produce your passport to the immigration officer at the port of entry to obtain the necessary clearance. Bring a copy of the ETA approval notice along with you. No need of photos.
This is the cheapest way to get into Colombo, but will take some effort and time. The public bus (number 187) to Colombo Fort leaves from the airport bus depot which is located outside the airport. You can get there by free shuttle or walk (about 10 – 15 mins).
Travel time to Colombo city ( 20 min ) via highway.
International flights arrive at Colombo International Airport (CMB) and it is recommended to take the Sri Lankan government operated Taxi Service
